FIRE SERVICE

When our fire safety is challenged every second counts. My goals for the Cosumnes Fire Department:

Reducing fire and medical 911 response times.

Decreasing the waiting period for Cosumnes Fire Department paramedics to transfer patients to our local hospital emergency rooms aka “Wall-Time.

Ensuring adequate staffing levels for our growing community.

“Public safety is top priority and the strongest commitment I can make to this community. Safety for our community comes first.” -Peter Sakaris

PARKS

One of the main attractions of Elk Grove, parks are the reflection of the quality of life in our community. As a gathering place for family, friends, and social groups, they provide places for health and well-being for all ages and abilities.

With over 100 parks programs, I will ensure that our parks are well funded, maintained, and accessible to all.

RECREATION

Recreation adds a multitude of value to our community. With over 500 recreation programs through the CSD, my goal is to ensure, improve, and continue such programs.

The ability for all ages and abilities to access diverse programs and sporting activities is paramount to build a healthier, happier and safer community.

COMMUNITY

There is immense power when our community works together. Ideas can be realized, change can occur, and the community ultimately benefits.

My goal is to empower the next generation of citizens by providing them the with the right resources and the right tools to be successful and continue the power of community in the future.

There is no greater good than giving back to a community that provides a safe, friendly, and nurturing environment to its citizens.

Living in Elk Grove for over 23 years and as a retired Battalion Chief for the Cosumnes Fire Department, Peter’s knowledge of budgets, contracting, and fiscal responsibility makes him the best person for the job.
